The 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Rejoice always, pray w/o ceasing, in everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you…
Sometimes when we plan and go after for something we wanted to achieve, we pray for it and think it’s going to benefit us and good for us. But when that way closes, our hearts go through unexplainable pain. Some of us ask God why…
I went through that and still going through to some of them even now. I think everyone have this kind of situation. But I got the bigger picture… This verse always reminds me of God when I didn’t accomplish, a door closes, the plans we’re blocked in my face, hurt and rejected… But it’s not a reminder of how He hates me or He didn’t allow me to accomplish something good for myself… He loves me and He really does wants me to accomplish what is good for myself.
If we just try to understand God’s side, ways and intentions, we will see a bigger picture and understand why He loved us by blocking our plans and desires. Why? He knows what’s going to happen to us, He knows if some of our plans are going to benefit us or not. He got better plans and ways instead of those blocked and rejected plans… It hurts but it’s true, so if we understand that it will give us peace in our hearts. Understand this, He gives us peace in our hearts not outside. He gives us real peace despite of what’s going on around us because He doesn’t give peace like the peace this world gives. I mean the peace of the world is like accomplishing something we desire but we have too much struggle in our hearts, our inner peace isn’t really at peace but we got what we wanted. We are happy on the outside but the truth is we don’t have peace inside our hearts, we struggle sometimes but on the outside we got it. It’s empty, but we accomplished it. That’s what the peace of the world…
God doesn’t want us to get that kind of peace, the peace He gives is totally different from the peace our mind created and desires. Even in the midst of trouble, we’re not affected and not even at panic. God loves us so much that He will guide us in something going to benefit us. Sometimes it doesn’t make sense in our point of views but just try to trust in Him. It hurts sometimes but if we understood His purpose, we will just let go those unaccomplished human plans and ways and move on. But we always have a choice if we’re going to follow His ways. We can identify His plans for us by knowing His ways and knowing what’s good and beneficiary to others.
I hope I helped someone who will accidentally read this…
